While you can find something to do around this neck of the woods almost every night of the week, there’s something extra special in the air on a Saturday night. Maybe it’s the tunes that pump out of every club, bar and restaurant, or maybe it’s just the crowd of revellers looking for a good time, but whatever it is, it’s something that needs to be experienced to be truly appreciated.

With so much on offer, we’ve saved you all the hard yards of doing your own research, by putting together a list of the top things to do. After spending our fair share of time around here, we can guarantee that you really will not be disappointed. So for a Saturday night that you’ll still be talking about in years to come, read on to discover the top 5 venues for a Saturday night on the Gold Coast.

Best Saturday Night Venues on the Gold Coast

Top Golf

The Top Golf goal is to create an unforgettable experience for you, your friends and your family. Isn’t that what Saturday nights are all about? This multi-story foodie and entertainment mecca is the perfect spot for you to spend your weekend sipping on drinks, snacking on eats and taking a swing on the virtual driving range.

It’s the easiest way to mix up your usual routine with a little bit of healthy competition too. Sink a few cocktails, beers or glasses of wine (which you can order from the bar or organise as part of a pre-booked beverage package), before going head to head against each other. The aim of the game is to hit the targets with your golf ball, which is actually more challenging than it sounds! Whoever comes out on top can be crowned as the unofficial king of Saturday night. With the bragging rights on offer, it’s a title everyone will want.

Elsewhere

Elsewhere isn’t your typical Surfers Paradise club. As the name would suggest, you’ll probably feel like you’re somewhere else from the very first moment you arrive. This little hot-spot is an absolute go-to for weekend partying, but Saturday night is undoubtedly when you want to be there. With alternative electronic tunes, a Saturday Night Fever inspired dancefloor and the grooviest crowd you’ll ever see, it’s a one-of-a-kind place to boogie the night away.

Unlike many places you’ll likely find yourself on a Saturday evening, you won’t get the same old tunes played on repeat every weekend. Instead, you may just pay $10 at the door to catch a live gig from a small-time DJ, who ends up ruling the EDM world just a year later. Pretty epic, right? That’s what it’s all about at Elsewhere. It’s a thriving community who bond over their love of music, partying and all-round good vibes.

Retros

Do you want to rewind to the best music era? Spend your Saturday night in a time where the party doesn’t stop? Boogie until the break of dawn? Retros has got your name all over it. Located smack bang in the middle of Surfers Paradise and on the easy to reach Orchid Avenue, the music pumping out of this joint can be heard well before you make your way inside.

As well as playing all your favourites from the 70s, 80s and up until now, Retros is also known for their range of fishbowl cocktails. No matter what flavour you’re craving, you’ll find something to keep you well-hydrated all night long. Make your way here on a Saturday for a night out that’s worthy of the record books.

Arcade

Arcade offers a club experience like no other. Found in the “Top of the Mark” shopping precinct, the totally unique venue has been completely redesigned and renovated to create the perfect place to let your hair down on a Saturday night. Head inside and you’ll find a lounge retro vibe with a modern twist, which creates an ambience ideal for partying.

As well as the killer setting, Arcade is also kitted out with state-of-the-art audio and AV systems. This you-beaut tech means the tunes are so crisp, you simply won’t be able to resist a session on the dance floor. The facilities are so good that they actually attract a spectacular line-up of local and international house and tech-house DJs plus live indie bands.

House of Brews

The name probably gives it away but House of Brew is one for the lovers of a good old beer. With 32 Australian and international craft beers lining their tap wall, you can wet your whistle on everything from up and coming local names to world-wide favourites. Some of our Gold Coast favourites include Black Hops, Burleigh Brewing, Balter and Lost Palms.

For a Saturday night to remember, round up the gang and head on day for a session of beer and epic food. The American BBQ-inspired menu has a great mixture of small bites and hearty meals to ensure there’s something from everyone. On top of that, they’ve also got seriously OTT cocktails – and what says Saturday night more than a few cocktails with your mates? Being located right in the heart of Surfers Paradise, you can easily keep the good times rolling and kick on at any number of the nearby joints around town.
